Your Email Filter Is Not as Smart as You Think
Most phishing emails that cause damage do not look suspicious. They come from real accounts, pass every filter check, and land in your inbox looking perfectly normal. Here is what to do about it.
Aloha! I'm Dmitri Sunshine.
AI Architect. Enterprise Strategist. 23 years of building, scaling, and fixing technology systems.
Growing Organizations (10 to 200 people).
You've outgrown duct-tape IT but aren't ready for a full-time CIO. I fill that gap.
Nonprofits and Mission-Driven Teams.
You need serious systems with a lean budget. I've operated exactly that way for 23 years.
Founders and Operators.
You need someone who speaks both business and code. I've been both builder and CEO.
I also advise RIAs, estate attorneys, and foundations through Solanasis .
Systems held together by luck.
Your tech stack works until it doesn't. I find the brittle parts before they break.
No one sees the full picture.
When IT, security, and operations live in silos, the gaps between them become expensive.
Untested disaster recovery.
Having backups is not the same as having recovery. I test it for real.
AI without guardrails.
AI is powerful and fast. Without governance, it's also a liability.
Vendor sprawl and shadow IT.
Too many tools, too little oversight. I consolidate and rationalize.
The founder bottleneck.
Everything runs through you because no one else knows where the keys are. I fix that.
I do not just advise on AI; I build with it every day. These are the systems I design and operate.
AI Agent Orchestration.
I design and operate multi-agent pipelines where 11+ specialized AI agents collaborate on complex tasks. Each agent has a defined role, clear guardrails, and automated quality gates.
AI-Native Development Workflows.
I build systems where AI is not bolted on but woven in. From automated code review to intelligent deployment pipelines, every workflow is designed with AI as a first-class participant.
Responsible AI Governance.
AI without guardrails is a liability. I implement security boundaries, data privacy controls, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints that keep AI systems accountable.
Enterprise AI Architecture.
I help organizations move from AI experiments to AI infrastructure. That means choosing the right models, designing integration patterns, and building systems that scale without brittleness.
I orchestrate 11 specialized AI agents in automated pipelines. The future of work is not replacing humans with AI; it is giving humans AI systems they can trust.
Social workers spent more time on their mission and less fighting their software.
Aloha!
I was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine in 1984. My family left when I was seven, and we arrived in Atlanta with almost nothing but each other.
By high school I was teaching myself to code. It felt less like study than like finally getting hold of the toolkit I had been circling my whole life.
At 19 I stepped out of college to build full-time. The work I was already doing on my own had outpaced what the classroom had to offer, so I followed it.
That turned into fourteen years at InReach Solutions, an ERP SaaS platform for adoption agencies that I bootstrapped from zero to roughly 80 clients across the country.
I ran it without outside capital. There was no board; every call had to pay for itself, which is by far the fastest way to learn what a dollar is actually worth.
It is also where I learned where brittle systems quietly accumulate risk debt, and how a few well-placed changes can cut through years of operational drag. Most of the time nobody even notices until the numbers start moving.
Today I run Solanasis, an AI-native firm focused on operational resilience for small and growing organizations.
The thing I bring that most consultants cannot is that I have actually run the company I am advising. For nearly two decades I have been founder-operator, which is why when I walk into a company's problems I have usually sat in that chair myself. That is what keeps me honest about the advice I give.
I live in Boulder with my two kids. When I am not working you will find me on a mountain bike trail, or out building something with my hands.
Notes on technology leadership, operational resilience, and the lessons I have picked up over 23 years of building and fixing systems.

I built two professional websites in a weekend without writing code. Here is every prompt you need to do the same, from zero to a live site on Cloudflare.
Claude is brilliant but it measures once and cuts twice. Here is how I set up a verification workflow so my AI catches its own mistakes before they reach me.
Whether you need an AI architect, a systems assessment, or just a second opinion on your technology strategy, I am happy to listen.
